Privacy Policy

How we handle the personal data you share with us through this website.

Last updated: 18 October 2026

Dr. Renuka's Dental Care (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we process personal data collected through this website, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it. For the purposes of that law, we are the Data Fiduciary for the data described here.

1. What we collect

When you submit an appointment request, we collect only what we need to contact you about it:

  • Your name, mobile number and (optionally) email address
  • The reason for your visit, whether you are a new or existing patient, and your preferred date and time
  • Any short note you choose to add

Please do not include medical history, test results or other sensitive health details in the form. These are discussed privately at your appointment and recorded in your clinical notes, which are handled separately from this website.

Our server also processes technical information such as your IP address briefly in memory to prevent abuse (rate limiting). It is not used to identify you or stored in a database.

2. Why we use it

  • To contact you to confirm, reschedule or discuss your appointment request
  • To keep this website secure and prevent spam or misuse

We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box before submitting. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or send marketing messages without separate permission.

3. Who we share it with

Appointment requests are delivered to the clinic by email through a service provider acting on our behalf (a Data Processor), currently Resend, Inc. This provider may process data outside India, subject to Indian law on cross-border transfers. We may also disclose data where required by law.

4. How long we keep it

Appointment request emails are kept only as long as needed to arrange your visit. We aim to delete requests that did not lead to an appointment within 90 days. If you become a patient, your clinical records are kept as required by applicable medical record-keeping obligations.

5. Cookies, analytics and third-party content

  • This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
  • The Google Map loads only when you choose “Load interactive map”. Google may then set cookies under its own privacy policy.
  • If Instagram posts are embedded, Instagram (Meta) may process data when they load.
  • If we add website analytics in future, it will be configured not to collect health information and this policy will be updated.

6. Children

Appointment requests for a child (anyone under 18) should be made by a parent or lawful guardian, who gives consent on the child’s behalf.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used
  • Ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your data
  • Withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out)
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity
  • Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, approach the Data Protection Board of India

8. Security

This website uses HTTPS encryption, server-side validation, spam protection and restricted access to appointment notifications. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable safeguards to protect your data.

9. Contact & grievances

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact Dr. Renuka's Dental Care, Partap Nagar, Main Road, near Singla Departmental Store & 24 No. Phatak Railway Crossing, Patiala, Punjab 147001, India, or call +91 98881 24232.
